Chelsea's municipal lots downtown provide free 3-hour customer parking, with longer spots available for downtown workers and shop owners. There is a commuter parking lot on the east side of M-52 just north of I-94.

Operates the Community Connector, a Chelsea-Dexter-Ann Arbor bus, seven days per week (except holidays), and Chelsea and Dexter door-to-door bus services Mon.-Fri. Reservations same day and in advance by calling Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. See website for Community Connector fares. Door-to door fares: Within the city $5; outside the city $6. Half price for seniors ages 65 & over, persons with disabilities, students with ID. Shuttle to Stockbridge Mon., Wed. & Fri. and to Manchester Tues. & Thurs. Personal-care attendants and children 4 & under with parents ride free.
