Apple Daze. Oct. 4, 2009. Centered in Monument Park, this festival, sponsored by the Dexter Lions Club, includes an apple-pie eating contest, hayrides, animal rides, games, a petting farm, craft booths, and apples and cider for sale. Also highlights the Cider Mill, area parks, and the Huron River.

Dexter Holiday Bazaar & Craft Show Dec. 5, 2009. Held at all the local Churches in town, Dexter Senior Center and at the Dexter Area Historical Museum, 3443 Inverness.

Tree Lighting Event Dec. 4, 2009. Celebrates Dexter's Victorian Christmas Celebration. The United Methodist and Peace Lutheran Church's sing traditional carols; warm refreshments provided. Starts at dusk.

Victorian Christmas-Home for the Holidays. Dec. 12, 2009. Ice Sculpture Carving & Exhibit, breakfast with Santa, and lunch with Mrs. Claus. Indoor rock concert. Refreshments in shops and moving carolers throughout downtown. Day ends with a 5k Holiday Run/Walk.

Christmas Luminaries. Dec. 24,2009. Luminaries lit by community volunteers throughout the village for Christmas Eve.
